For the shallow depth of field, I chose the flower that's above. To shoot this photo, I used the f-stop f4. For the ISO I used ISO 400 and the white balance was cloudy. I also turned to the "A" for aperture. The large depth of field is the beach photo above. The f-stop that I used to take this photo was f11. The ISO I used 100 and the white balance was cloudy as well. Again, I also changed the setting to "A" for Aperture.
Personally, I think that the flower photo is better because I like how the raindrops were in focus and the background was out of focus. If you were to shoot a photo close up, then that's when to use a shallow depth of field. If you were to shoot a photo at a distance like a scenery, it is then better to use a large depth of field and that way the whole image is in focus.
